Upon arrival in Cusco—a city located at 3,400 meters above sea level—it is normal to feel the air a little lighter. Our team will be waiting to take you to the hotel, where you can try traditional coca tea, an infusion that helps in the acclimatization process (not recommended for people with hypertension). Afterwards, we will assist you with check-in and give you a map of the city to explain the main tourist spots, in addition to providing recommendations for restaurants, exchange offices, shops and other places of interest. We suggest resting a few hours to make the most of your free afternoon and evening in Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
Breakfast at the hotel. From 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (approximately) — The long-awaited day of the pre-tour to Machu Picchu has arrived. In the morning we will leave for the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be the Taray viewpoint, from where we will appreciate the impressive view of the valley. Following the itinerary, we will visit the Pisac Archaeological Center with our guide. We will also visit a jewelry store in Pisac to learn about the symbolism and mysticism present in each handmade piece. Then we will continue to Urubamba, where we will stop for lunch. Later, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the best examples of Inca urban planning. At the end of the tour, we will board the train at the Ollantaytambo station bound for Aguas Calientes, a trip of approximately two hours. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting for you in the main square of Aguas Calientes – a picturesque town located at about 2,040 meters above sea level – with a sign that identifies your name, to assist you to the hotel. The most anticipated day has finally arrived! On this day we will visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the impressive Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. Our team will be at your disposal from early in the morning, assisting your transfer from the hotel to boarding the bus (the schedule will be adjusted according to your entry ticket). During the tour, our professional guide will share the secrets, stories and mysteries of the place in a guided tour of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. After the guided tour, you will have free time to leisurely explore the site. At the end, the guide will inform you of the exact time to return to the town of Aguas Calientes, from where you will board the train again to the Poroy or Wanchaq stations, located near the city of Cusco. Our team will be waiting upon your arrival to transfer you back to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.
Breakfast at the hotel. From 09:00 to 11:00 (approximately) — Our team will pick you up at your hotel to begin the private transfer to the Mountain View ecological cabins. From that point the ATV tour of Maras and Moray will begin. Before leaving, you will have about 30 minutes to prepare. The ATVs will be ready for you and you will also have a guide who will explain every detail of these impressive settings, during an approximate tour of between 3 to 4 hours. From 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (approximately) — At the end of the ATV tour, we will arrive at Mountain View to check-in and enjoy lunch. After living a morning full of adventure and seeing some of the most interesting landscapes in the Cusco region, this will be an ideal time to relax. Take advantage of this time to check-in and have lunch at the Mountain View restaurant (lunch is not included in the package value). From 3:00 p.m. (approximately) — After lunch, the afternoon will be free for you to enjoy at your own pace everything that Mountain View has to offer: activities, landscapes, and a perfect environment to rest. One of the best experiences is being able to see the friendly llamas up close and connect with the Andean energy from the first moment. Overnight in Mountain View Ecological Cabins.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will check out of your ecological cabin at 10:00. After you check out, you'll still be able to enjoy some of the activities Mountain View has to offer and make the most of the time available on site. This is, after all, a unique opportunity to experience the Andes in a totally exclusive way. From 12:00 to 16:00 (approximately) — During this period the transfer will take place back to the ancient capital of the Incas. The exact schedule will depend on the activities you decide to do before leaving and the duration of each one. Activities offered by Mountain View Experience (check with your advisor; subject to availability): ♦ Bicycles to explore the surroundings. ♦ Private Ofurô in your ecological cabin. ♦ Horseback riding through the Pampas de Maras (1 hour; additional payment). ♦ Painting and picnic with cheese and wine (2 hours; additional payment). ♦ Paddle in the Huaypo lagoon (2 hours; additional payment). ♦ Huaypo Lagoon, scenic route; Salineras viewpoint; Moray. From 4:00 to 19:30 (approximately) — This itinerary would not be complete without including the walk to the 7 Ausangate Lagoons, one of the most impressive landscapes in the Peruvian Andes. We will start this tour very early. Our team will pick up your hotel to begin the trip to Pacchanta, where you will have time to have breakfast and rest before starting the walk. Then we will begin the route, which requires about three hours of ascent. Don't worry: the effort will be rewarded with spectacular landscapes. The trail crosses valleys and rivers, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, creating an unforgettable setting. When you reach the first lagoon, you will notice that the effort has been worth it. The area brings together lagoons of intense colors - turquoise, emerald, blue and even pink - so we recommend you always keep your camera at hand. After visiting the seven lagoons, we will return to the town of Pacchanta, where we will have a well-deserved lunch. On site you can also relax in the hot springs (entrance is not included). Later, we will return to the city of Cusco to rest after this incredible day. Overnight in Cusco.
Breakfast at the hotel. At the coordinated time, we will transfer from the hotel to the airport for check-in for your return flight. We ask you to be ready at least two hours before boarding time, thus guaranteeing a punctual transfer. Note: at hotels in Cusco and Aguas Calientes, check-in time is 1:00 p.m. and check-out time is 10:00 a.m. Early check-in and late check-out options are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
